About Crazy Horse leather:
It’s a finishing treatment, not a tannage. The hide is full-grain bull-hide, oiled and waxed to bring out the marbled grain. The “crazy horse” name comes from the way it marks — scratches don’t damage the leather, they just darken into the existing pattern.
