The consumable. The rare cigar accessory that’s both repeat-purchase and immediately useful — every humidor benefits from fresh cedar every 6–12 months, and these sheets drop into any unit without modification.
The wood: Real kiln-dried Spanish cedar, cut into uniform sheets sized to fit standard humidor trays. Same wood that lines the best handmade humidors.
The use: Drop one or two sheets into an existing humidor when the cedar aroma starts to fade (usually 6–12 months in). The fresh wood re-aromatises the box and provides additional humidity buffering — Spanish cedar absorbs moisture at a slower, steadier rate than synthetic humidifiers, which is why every Habanos box uses it.
Status: First-source factory didn’t complete the Trade Assurance order. Re-sourcing from two backup suppliers — should land by September 2026.
What we’re testing for:
- Cedar aroma intensity (intense, fresh, not faint or chemical)
- Thickness consistency across 5 random sheets (within 0.5mm)
- Flatness — must sit perfectly flat, no warping
- Color consistency (uniform warm reddish-brown)
Pricing: Premium Spanish cedar sheets at specialty tobacconists run $25–40 for a 10-pack. Our price reflects direct sourcing.
