About this cigar
Rafael González Petit Coronas — tasting notes and pricing context
Rafael González is one of the older quietly-loved Habanos brands, founded in the late 1800s and named after the Spanish merchant who launched it. The band design — a green and gold ribbon — is among the most photographed in the Cuban catalogue, and the brand has a small but devoted following among aficionados who value gentler smokes. The Petit Coronas is the brand's most-traded vitola — a 5.1-inch Mareva at 42 ring, with a markedly lighter blend than most Cuban Marevas.
The smoke is gentle and lightly floral. First third opens with butter, hay and a faint orange-blossom note; the middle drifts into the brand's signature creamy cedar with a touch of honey; the last third delivers a smooth, slightly sweet finish. A box of 25 sits in the €255 to €320 range: Noblego runs around €275, Cigarworld €285, Cigarmust CHF 305 (~€320). One of the most accessibly-priced Cuban premiums — a great target for daily smokers building their humidor on a budget.
