The smoker who has everything still has a cheap version of most things. A plastic torch that came free with an order. A cutter from a gas station. A humidor that was full a year ago. The best gifts for this person are the upgrades: the version of something they use every week that they would never buy for themselves.

These six gifts run from $75 to $179. We chose them on build, brand and what owners report, and every price and rating was checked on Amazon.com on 19 October 2026. For smaller budgets, see cigar gifts under $50 and under $100.

1. For the desk: Xikar Volta tabletop lighter ($169)

Xikar Volta tabletop quad-jet cigar lighter

A tabletop lighter is the classic gift for someone who has every pocket lighter already. The Volta is a heavy, four-jet torch built to stand on a desk, a bar or a side table, so the smoker always knows where it is. Four jets light a thick cigar quickly and evenly. It is rated 4.4 stars by 186 owners.

2. For the smoker with a cheap cutter: Xikar XO, redwood ($175.99)

Xikar XO double guillotine cigar cutter in redwood

The XO is Xikar’s flagship cutter: a double guillotine with two stainless blades that meet in the middle, so the cap is cut cleanly from both sides. This redwood version is the one to give. It looks like something to keep rather than a tool, and it is the flagship guillotine in our cutter guide. The redwood edition has fewer ratings (4.4 stars from 43), but it is the same cutter as the black XO in a different finish.

3. For a full humidor: Case Elegance Luca cabinet ($178.99)

Case Elegance Luca black cabinet cigar humidor

Humidors fill up sooner than their owners expect, and a cabinet is the next step: the Luca holds 80 to 100 cigars in three removable drawers behind a tempered glass front, with thick Spanish cedar on the back wall. It looks like furniture, which matters if it lives in the living room. Rated 4.6 stars by 275 owners.

If you’d rather have more room for less money, the Woodronic cabinet holds 100 to 150 cigars for $149.99 (4.6 · 746 ratings). Both are covered in our humidor guide.

4. For the torch user: Xikar Verano flat-flame lighter ($109.99)

Xikar Verano flat-flame cigar lighter

A flat flame is wider and calmer than a torch jet, so it toasts the foot of a cigar more gently. The Verano is a metal flat-flame lighter that comes in a gift box, ready to hand over. At 4.0 stars from 323 owners it is the lowest-rated pick here, so give it to someone who will enjoy the ritual rather than someone who lights cigars on a windy deck.

5. For the jacket pocket: Xikar Envoy 3-cigar case ($74.99)

For dinners, weddings and travel, a hard case for three cigars protects them better than a leather sleeve. The Envoy is Xikar’s three-cigar case, rated 4.6 stars (from 22 owners, a small number). It is the least expensive gift here and the easiest to wrap.

Make it a set

A gift can be one good thing plus the small things that make it work:

  • Cabinet set (about $225): the Luca cabinet, three Boveda 69% packs at $11.15 each, and a Govee hygrometer at $12.99.
  • Desk set (about $218): the Volta tabletop lighter and the Colibri V-Cut at $49. Add the Envoy case and it comes to about $293.

What not to buy

  • Accessories carrying a cigar brand’s logo. They cost more for the name, and the smoker may not smoke that brand.
  • A humidor larger than they need. A half-empty cabinet in a small apartment is a burden. If they buy a box a year, the Woodronic or Luca is enough.
  • Cigars as a surprise. Unless you know exactly what they smoke, accessories make the safer gift.
